Some Miscalculations and Some Discoveries

I was in New Delhi recently and wanted to go to the airport to see a friend who had two hours to kill due to a delayed flight. Someone advised me to take the Delhi Airport Metro Express line from Dwarka Sector 21 metro station to reach the airport. Being a newbie in the city, I miscalculated the commute time and ended up reaching the metro station two hours before the right time. So, either I could go to the airport and wait for two hours for my friend to arrive and then spend the next two hours with her or I could spend two hours at the metro station and then leave for the airport to spend the two hours with her.

I was going crazy, trying to figure out what would work best for me in the situation when I saw that there was a mall at the station. I had not spotted many shopping malls in Dwarka on my way to the station but here it was, in all its glory and my needs, my saviour — Pacific D21 Mall.

I walked in and looked around the mall. There were many brand stores and kiosks, a food court, a restaurant, a movie theatre and a funky island game zone. I had time to window shop and grab a bite of something yum, so, I went around browsing the winter collection at the brand stores. Even though I had planned to just window shop, I did end up liking a pair of sunglasses at one of the stores and gleefully bought it for myself. I still had some time left so I went to the food court and ordered a burger meal. I sat there, eating and scrolling through Instagram. I did not even realize how fast time passed, and by the time I paid attention to it, I had to run to the metro line to catch the leaving metro. Luckily, I reached the airport on time and spotted my friend soon after.

By the end of the meet, I was happy and content, both with my friend and my purchase.
